Friends of Aalborg Taffel Akvavit would have said the same in 1846, as the recipe has remained unchanged ever since. A crystal-clear aquavit, full of character, best enjoyed chilled as an accompaniment to herring and other good food, and preferably in cheerful company. What's more, in 2002, it was elected "Best Akvavit in the World" at The International Wine and Spirits Competition held in London. And it has an ABV of 45%, so drink with care.
